TSM 363 Fluid Power Systems

This course contains basic principles of Fluid Power Systems related to off-road equipment. In this 8-week course, we will discuss the fundamentals and applications of fluid power on off-road equipment. Laboratory exercises are designed to reinforce the basic principles discussed in the classroom.
2 Credit Hours.

Course Objectives:

Through the study of this course, students are expected to be able to:

  • explain how a typical mobile hydraulic system works;
  • determine proper parameters for simple hydraulic systems;
  • select right components for simple hydraulic systems; and
  • create schematics of simple hydraulic system using standard symbols.
