- Tutors students in the Ag and Biological Engineering Department with mathematics on a weekly basis.
- In addition, he has created and maintains a website, Math Help, that contains notes, sample problems, and sample examinations for each math course.
- He also has created and maintains a website for his high school classmates.
- Helps transport cancer patients, dialysis patients, and others that need transportation to and from their residence to their treatment facility.
- Enjoys keeping up with his six grandchildren. He has three granddaughters in area, and he travels with his wife several times a years to California to visit his three grandsons.
- Lastly, he enjoys the two g's--gardening and golf.
