Graduate Research Assistant

(Diesel Engine Emission Control)

Position Summary:
The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and the Agricultural and Biological Engineering Department invite applications for a Graduate Research Assistantship towards an M.S. and/or a Ph.D. including thesis/dissertation study. The successful candidate will be involved in research in the areas of diesel engine emission control and aftertreatment.

Qualifications:
B.S. and/or M.Sc degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Chemical Engineering or other related Engineering discipline, dedicated and having ability to adopt to a new direction, a creative researcher and a team player. Strong oral and written communication skills is required. A knowledge base of control and/or diesel engine is desirable.

Salary and Benefits:
Starting salary/stipend and position will be commensurate with experience. Position will include full benefits including tuition.

Anticipated Starting Date: August 16th, 2008 (open until filled).
