All incoming freshmen in both the Agricultural & Biological Engineering and Technical Systems Management degree programs have the opportunity to participate in the Learning Communities established by the Department. Within the communities, students of the same major will be able to take classes together allowing students to get to know one another. All freshmen will also be invited to attend several meals throughout the year hosted by the Department’s Student Academic Program Coordinator, Ms. Anne Marie Boone. This is an excellent opportunity for students to get to know some of the faculty and staff within the Department.

There are many incredible study abroad opportunities to be found within the Department, the Colleges, and the campus. Partial funding is often available for these life-changing experiences, and many programs do NOT have language requirements. Planning ahead allows students to study abroad and still graduate in four years.
