Supplemental Education

There are many opportunities to obtain help with classroom materials outside of the classroom. Students can attend office hours with teaching assistants or professors or schedule appointments with them. In addition, the following services are offered:

  • Chemistry Learning Center - The CLC provides resources, tutoring services, space for study groups to meet, and many other opportunities.
  • Chemistry Merit Program - The Merit Program in Chemistry is for high performing students that are part of groups typically underrepresented in math, science, and engineering curricula.
  • Department of Mathematics - The Math Department offers a listing of tutoring services available on their website. Some services are free; others are not.
  • Math Merit Program - The Merit Program in math is for high performing students that are part of groups typically underrepresented in math, science, and engineering curricula.
  • Department of Physics - The Physics Department provides a listing of tutoring and group study possibilities on their website. Some services are free; others are not.
  • ABE Math Help - An Emeritus Professor, Dr. Dick Coddington, has put together helpful study tools for several required math and theoretical applied mechanics courses for our students. Dr. Coddington also tutors students one-on-one on a case-by-case basis.
