Dr. Curtis Weller, '87 AgE, a faculty member of the Department of Biological Systems Engineering at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, has received the prestigious appointment of Jefferson Science Fellow.

Tim Hall, ’85 AgM, brought Monster Truck Racing to AESB. Hall was the guest speaker at the Illini Agricultural Mechanization Club meeting on November 17th. Hall is the president of Hall Brothers Racing, located in Champaign, Illinois.

Dr. David Smith, Ph.D. ’74 AgE, was named the Spring 2010 “Professor for a Day” in the Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering (ABE). Smith was a research engineer for John Deere Moline Technology Innovation Center (in Moline, Illinois) where he retired in 2007.

Lynda Cabrales, Ph.D. '06 AgE, is a recipient of the 2010 “Minorities in Research Science Trailblazers” award, given by the Career Communications Group (CCG) out of Baltimore, Maryland. Congratulations, Lynda!

Anthony Rund, '05 AgE, was recognized in "Gifts At Work" the Illinois Annual Fund impact newsletter. Thank you Anthony for your continued support of the College of ACES!

Elizabeth Brooks Bruns, '09 AgE, was featured in a recent issue of ASABE Resource magazine: "Student and Career Profiles". Elizabeth describes her experience in the ABE department at Illinois.
