You'll find many opportunities to obtain help outside of the classroom. Students can attend office hours with teaching assistants or professors, or schedule appointments with them. In addition, we offer the following services:

Accountancy Tutoring

Gies College of Business provides tutoring for students taking ACCY 201, 202, All 300 Level ACCY Courses, and Al400 Level ACCY courses.

Center for Academic Resources in Engineering (CARE)

CARE brings useful tools to the fourth floor of Grainger Engineering Library for engineering student use. CARE offers study spaces, computer work stations, group work room reservations, tutoring, supported study halls, and review sessions, as well as study skills and time management workshops. This resource is available for ABE, ETMAS, and TSM students. 

Chemistry Learning Center

The Chemistry Learning Center provides resources, tutoring services, space for study groups to meet, and other helpful opportunities.

Chemistry Merit Program for Emerging Scholars

The Chemistry Merit Program uses a collaborative group learning approach to improve conceptual understanding and problem solving in chemistry courses. The program is for high-performing students who need additional support.

Econ Tutoring at the Raphael Kiam Economics Learning Center

Tutoring is offered by the Economics Department for all students during the fall and spring semesters, starting the third week of classes. Support is provided for the following courses: ECON 102, 103, 202, 203, 302, 303, and many advanced level topics (400s); MATH 220/221 & 231

Eta Kappa Nu (HKN)

Eta Kappa Nu is a group of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) students who offer free tutoring services for many ECE courses.

The Jeffries Center provides services specifically geared toward helping students transition to and succeed academically at Illinois. They offer tutoring, study skills, and personal advising services.

Writers Workshop

The Writers Workshop provides support through individual and group consultations, as well as workshops on writing.
